<p>Has it ever happened to you to see one picture of a place and fall in love with it? It has happened to me a few times. Last time when a picture had such an effect on me was during my trip to Montenegro. While I was studying the offers of a local travel agency, I saw a picture of Stari Most, which is a lovely Ottoman bridge, built in the 16th century.</p>
<p>The bridge is considered the symbol of the small Bosnian town of Mostar and also one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the entire country. That moment I knew that I had <a href="http://www.hikertips.com/interesting-places-visit-area-mostar/">to plan a trip to Mostar </a>and take a walk on that lovely old bridge.</p>
<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-3634" src="http://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9767-1024x680.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="680" srcset="https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9767.jpg 1024w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9767-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9767-768x510.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />This year I made my wish come true and I have visited Mostar and its lovely Stari Most, which is a real example of Balkan Islamic architecture. The bridge is built over the Neretva river and it connects the two parts of the town.Even if the original bridge was destroyed in 1993, during the Croat-Bosniak war, it was rebuilt in 2004, as a faithful copy of the original one.</p>
<p>Stari Most is that type of place which has a breathtaking appearance. Walking on the bridge will offer you the chance to admire a wonderful view and also witness a show that takes place there. A few times a day, divers jump off the bridge to the delight of the spectators.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-3615" src="http://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9593-1024x680.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="680" srcset="https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9593.jpg 1024w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9593-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/DSC_9593-768x510.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />As a travel advice, you should definitely not leave Mostar without admiring the bridge from the top of Koski Mehmed Pasha’s Mosque. The picture which convinced me to visit Mostar was taken here.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-3637" src="http://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/20170812_133150-1024x616.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="616" srcset="https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/20170812_133150.jpg 1024w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/20170812_133150-300x180.jpg 300w, https://www.hikertips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/20170812_133150-768x462.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />As I have already said, a picture can be that strong argument which convinces you to visit a place. On this note, take a look at the following pictures and let yourself charmed by Stari Most!</p>
