I am talking about Stéphane Halleux’s exhibition called “The old-fashioned future”. This exhibition is actually a collection of whimsical steampunk sculptures.

The Belgian artist, Stéphane Halleux proved an incredible imagination when he created this collection of neo-punkish sculptures, robots, vehicles, flying soldiers or winged men. Designing all these interesting exhibits implies a lot of work, talent, carefulness and precision, but in my opinion the most important aspect when it comes to art is a high dose of imagination and creativity.Through his works of art, Stéphane Halleux proved that he certainly has all these qualities.

Some of his retro-futuristic creations were used in the animated short film “Mr Hublot”, which was awarded an Oscar.

I personally had the chance to visit this futuristic exhibition and I was very impressed. The exhibition was hosted by Schortgen Gallery, which is situated on Beaumont Street, at number 24, in Luxembourg City.  “The old-fashioned future” was opened to the public between April 20 and May 07 this year.  Stéphane Halleux is a regular at the Schortgen Gallery and he has regularly been exhibiting for years here.
