Whenever I think about my trip to Agra I prefer to look on the bride side of things. Even though Agra is a very dirty city, I stayed at a lovely hotel.
Four Points by Sheraton is the hotel whose welcoming interior helped me get over the dirtiness and the chaos of the city. I don’t even want to imagine how it would have been to stay in improper conditions in one of the dirtiest cities in the world! Fortunately, I haven’t experienced such a situation because Four Points by Sheraton is a clean and beautifully decorated hotel, whose atmosphere is unexpectedly warm and welcoming.
The large reception embellished with a few pieces of futurist furniture immediately gave me the feeling that I went back to civilization. Once I entered this hotel, I felt a kind of relief because I realized that I can spend a few days in good and proper conditions.
Accommodation
Four Points by Sheraton offers 165 rooms and suites, beautifully decorated with modern furniture. Spacious and colorful, the rooms are equipped with all the necessary amenities and you don’t have to worry about anything. From a modern LED television to smoke detectors and temperature control, the hotel offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each room or suite has a well-equipped bathroom and a sitting area in case you want to relax and enjoy the view of the city, after an exhausting day of running from one tourist attraction to another.
Culinary experience
When it comes to food, Four Points by Sheraton will give you a few options to choose from. Oasis is the most popular restaurant of the hotel, a spacious and warming space where you will have the chance to taste dishes from the North Indian, the Chinese and the Continental cuisines. Even though I’m not a fan of Indian food, I had the chance to choose from a variety of dishes inside this restaurant. This is the place where I tried peth, a soft candy which is considered the most popular sweet in Agra.
In case you are looking for a special type of culinary experience, Four Points by Sheraton will offer you this opportunity at Rooftop, another lovely restaurant. Here, you can enjoy delicious North Indian and Continental dishes served on the rooftop of the hotel. You should know that this restaurant is open only in the evenings.
Last but not least, you can relax at Henry’s, a beautifully decorated lounge bar where you can enjoy a sophisticated cocktail or meal.
Other facilities
A rooftop pool is waiting for you to relax and drink a glass of wine while you are admiring the beautiful view of the city. In case you want to work out and keep yourself in a good shape and mood, the well-equipped fitness center of the hotel will offer you this opportunity. Parking will not be a problem in case you travel by car, because the hotel offers free parking spaces. Four Points by Sheraton also has a 421-square-meter ballroom where different events take place.
The staff
As usual the staff is a very important aspect when it comes to customers’ satisfaction. You don’t have to worry about anything, because a very well-trained staff will be at your disposal and they will do their best to meet all your demands.
How to get there
Four Points by Sheraton is situated 8 kilometers away from Kheria Airport. In case you are traveling by plane and you don’t have an agency to take care of your transport, you can simply take a cab from the airport to the hotel.
Situated in Taj Nagari, Phase 1, C1 & C2 Fatehabad Road Agra, Four Points by Sheraton is also close to the city center. This is why it will be very easy to visit the main tourist attractions in the city. The Agra Fort Railway Station is located at a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
