These impressive walls are very famous and a lot of tourists choose to follow the path near the walls and climb the 1350 stairs in order to visit the lovely St. John’s Castle.

It is true that the road to the castle is a difficult one, but it’s definitely worth the effort.Once you reach the top you can visit the castle and also admire the spectacular panorama over the Bay of Kotor.
Less known but equally interesting is the fact that Kotor hosts hundreds of cats and that it is full of meters of laundry. Don’t be amazed if everywhere you look you will see cats and laundry which flutter in the wrought iron balconies! These aspects give Kotor a very personal touch.
